About

Twenty-three years of sitting on the same side of the table

A Navy veteran, a father, a broker who has worked every market this state has thrown at him — and the man behind five businesses that all answer the same question in different ways.

The short version

Jody McNamer has bought and sold more than 500 properties, completed over $50 million in short sales during the 2008 crisis, and coached thousands of agents and loan officers in building businesses that outlast a good year.

As a broker with The Real Brokerage and a mortgage professional with One Real Mortgage, he helps buyers and sellers navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives — with the house and the financing handled by the same hands, which is rarer than it should be.

He is a Navy veteran and works often with military households across Kitsap, King, Pierce and Thurston Counties. He is a man of faith. He is also, by his own account, happiest outdoors — which is where he goes to think.

Together with his son Tyler, he co-founded AutismWorks — turning lived experience into hope and a plan for thousands of families. One person at a time. That is how the world gets better.

The long version

How five businesses came out of one career

  1. 2002

    The licence

Jody got his real estate licence in Washington and started doing what he has done ever since — sitting across a kitchen table from someone making the biggest financial decision of their life and telling them the truth about it.

  2. 2008

    The crash

When the market broke, most agents left. Jody stayed and closed more than $50 million in short sales — work nobody wanted, for families who had nowhere else to go. It is where he learned that the job is not selling houses. It is steadying people.

  3. 2014

    The brokerage

He founded and ran his own brokerage, then spent years coaching agents and loan officers across the country. Thousands of them. The ones who lasted were never the loudest — they were the ones who built systems and kept promises.

  4. 2016

    AutismWorks

Jody co-founded AutismWorks with his son Tyler McNamer — author of Population: ONE and Becoming ONE, and a public speaker who lives with autism. It turned a family reality into something other families could use.

  5. Today

    Under one roof

Real estate with The Real Brokerage, financing with One Real Mortgage, coaching through Agent Broker Coach, pipeline through Done For You Leads, and advocacy through AutismWorks. Five doors. One person behind all of them.

Off the clock

Ask him about the water, not the market

Jody is an outdoorsman — hunting, fishing, skiing, wake surfing, and a competitive handgun shooter. He plays tennis, pickleball and golf, mostly badly and cheerfully. He has said he intends to live to 122, and he is not obviously joking.

It matters here for one reason: the same steadiness he takes into a whitewater river is the one he brings to a deal that is going sideways at 9pm on a Friday.
